GABA tea is a specially produced tea invented in Japan. During the typical oxidation process, all oxygen is removed, and the leaves are instead exposed to nitrogen. As a result, the tea contains high amounts of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is a naturally occurring neurotransmitter that helps stabilize the autonomic nervous system, regulate blood pressure, and promote relaxation. The special manufacturing process also removes most of the caffeine from the tea, making it an ideal choice for many tea lovers who don’t wish their sleep to be affected. This tea is grown in an ancient forest at an altitude of 1400 meters. It is luxuriously fragrant, containing layers of citrus, cinnamon, and caramel tones. The broth is a bright vivid amber.
