Jing Mai
2004 / Jingmai, Yunnan, Old Tree
Selected from Jingmai Mountain, this 2004 Jingmai tea features slender dry leaves with golden tips. On the palate, it enters with a tight, concentrated force, and its qi surges straight upward. The first layer of the liquor carries a bold woody note and wild mountain aroma, swiftly unfolding into hints reminiscent of cypress and dried bark. The lingering finish rests in the mouth and at the root of the tongue, akin to the sudden awakening after surfacing from a deep plunge in a pool. An excellent choice for seasoned Puerh drinkers seeking a collection-worthy tea with pronounced hui gan and a strong sense of qi.
