Bi Luo Chun

Named after its unique spiral appearance, Bi Luo Chun (“Green Snail Spring”) was originally cultivated in the Zhejiang region of China. It is famed for its unique attractive fragrance. Whereas traditional Chinese Bi Luo Chun are rolled into tight spirals, Taiwanese Bi Luo Chun resembles more the curly leaf shape. Our Bi Luo Chun is from Sanxia, a famous tea region in Taiwan with a tea manufacturing history of over 200 years. The leaves are early spring’s first harvest, plucked according to the principle of one bud, two leaves. Observed closely, one will notice delicate white fuzz on the leaves, typically found on young tea buds to protect them from the cold. The broth is clear and bright, and the fragrance pleasantly fresh.
